As the Founder & Director of ARCH College of Design & Business, Archana Surana has spearheaded numerous pioneering projects that bridge design, education, and community impact. She led industry collaborations such as the NIESBUD Delegation Program and the MSME Design Clinic for Jaipur’s jewellery clusters, directly engaging artisans and entrepreneurs. Under her leadership, ARCH conducted artisan training programs with the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, upskilling hundreds of craftspeople across Rajasthan.
Archana has also driven global academia–industry collaborations, including the Buyer–Seller Project with Saxion University (Netherlands), the British Council Scotland–Jaipur Partnership, and skill-development initiatives supported by the Dell and Gates Foundations. Her vision extended internationally through projects like the USAID Goldozi program for Afghan women artisans.

She has curated and hosted landmark events such as the Fashion Colloquia 2020, the Pink City Design Confluence, and heritage showcases at the Jaipur Literature Festival and Amer Fort, positioning Jaipur as a design hub. Through community-driven projects like the Jaipur Design Declaration, the Responsible Fashion Manifesto, and exhibitions for wildlife and sustainability, she has consistently aligned design with social responsibility.
These projects reflect Archana’s core philosophy—design as a tool for entrepreneurship, co-creation, sustainability, and global collaboration—while empowering artisans, students, women, and creative professionals across India and beyond.
